Airbrushing in Ajijic, Mexico

In December 2023 we sold all of our belongings and moved to Ajijic, Mexico. My wife was expecting our first child and we decided to start our family in Mexico, a place we fell in love with earlier that year. Of course, this sadly meant leaving our friends, family and amazing clients behind in the UK.

I expected buying my equipment in Mexico to be easy, since the main suppliers are in the US. This was very far from the truth! Eventually a new friend generously organised to replace my airbrushes I had sold back in the UK. It wasn't possible to get the paints I rely on and so I spent a long time testing and mixing the acrylic paints that are available here.

Now, 6 months down the line and what have I been up to? Honestly, somewhat less than I expected, partly due to our delightful baby boy and I was needed at home for longer than anticipated. However, I am excited to share the projects I have done in a gallery below. Amongst them is a logo mural from a friend's new indoor golf simulator business 'Birdie's', Our Lady of Guadalupe replacing a shrine that had burnt down, an outdoor mural that involved me climbing amongst a cactus garden (ouch), a water and logo mural on the doors of our water supplier and a canvas commission that I then had limited edition prints made of, called 'Ajijic Little Church'.

Stay tuned for BIG NEWS coming soon!
